House Clearance within 30 miles of Sheringham

Sheringham Collectables offer a full and part house clearance service within a 30 mile radius of Sheringham. We can clear houses, flats, garages, sheds, lofts, offices, shops, and pubs. Whatever your clearance requirements are we are here to help.

Every clearance is different, so we do visit the property to provide a free ‘no obligation’ quote, tailored to your needs. In some cases, we pay you for the clearance, as the goods are worth more than the cost of the clearance.

We also recycle as much as possible, this reduces the amount going into landfill.

If you only have a small number of small items you wish to sell, rather than a clearance we may ask you to bring them to the shop in Sheringham instead, as it may not be cost-effective for us to visit, but we suggest you give us a call or pop into the shop to discuss your situation.

There is no set price for undertaking a clearance.

  1. We will visit the property to give you a free ‘no obligation’ quote (within a 30 mile radius of Sheringham).
  2. We assess the value of any contents that we can resell. As a general guide – we buy good quality glassware, dinnerware, china figurines, coins, medals, watches, jewellery, books, vintage clothing, and small furnishings and decorative items.
  3. We assess the items that we would have to dispose of and work out a cost for providing this service. We can remove ALL items if required. This usually works out cheaper than hiring a skip, and we do all the hard work!
  4. We provide a quote which is valid for 90 days, this then gives you 2 options:
The first option is a cash price that we pay you to buy the items we can resell.
The second option is a quote based on the wholesale value of the items we would purchase minus the cost of disposing of the remaining contents. The final figure may end up with us paying you or you paying us. It depends entirely on the value/quantity/volume of the contents.
Please remember that as a house clearance service, we need to provide, vehicles, transportation, staff, labour and packaging materials. We then have to pay for the disposal of your unwanted items at a commercial waste transfer depot and we have to segregate your waste.
Items that we do not clear include garden green waste, hazardous/chemical waste/tyres/asbestos and large quantities of oil or paints.
  5. You decide what option you want to go for, if any. If you would like us to carry out your clearance, we can arrange a date for this to be done. We usually need a week’s notice but can sometimes work to a shorter deadline if required.

To carry out this work, companies need to be licensed waste carriers.
Unlike some other clearance companies, we hold a current waste carriers licence.

Our licence can be confirmed on the Environment Agency website, just click the registration number in red below.

We are also what’s known as an Upper Tier Carrier Broker Dealer, this means we can carry out work for individuals, families, landlords, charities, businesses, solicitors and estate agents. We would make payment on the day or we can send a cheque if required. If there is a charge for the clearance, we will only ask for payment once you are satisfied that we have completed the clearance. Payment can be taken via cash, bank transfer or via the debit card reader face to face in the shop.

We have offered a clearance service for 25 years, cleared 100s of properties, and have many satisfied customers. We always offer a friendly, professional service and ensure that every job is done respectfully.
